SOAR Project

Service Opportunities Activating Resources

At Nancy Campbell Academy, we believe education is most powerful when it inspires service.
The SOAR Project gives students the opportunity to combine learning with meaningful action—serving communities around the world while deepening their understanding of leadership, compassion, and global citizenship.

A Living Classroom of Service

The SOAR Project began when six Nancy Campbell students traveled to Grenada to pioneer a new kind of educational experience—one that blends academic study with hands-on community building.

For three months, students balanced their coursework with daily acts of service: supporting children’s classes, guiding junior youth programs, and helping local residents strengthen the bonds of unity in their neighborhoods.

What started as a short-term initiative has grown into an ongoing, sustainable project—one that continues to thrive and evolve each year.

A Lasting Impact in Grenada

Since its launch, the SOAR Project has inspired remarkable transformation within Grenadian communities.
Through friendship, mentorship, and collaboration, local youth have become protagonists of change—taking ownership of children’s classes, junior youth groups, and neighborhood improvement projects.

From organizing community clean-ups to creating safe, supportive spaces for young people, these youth have carried the SOAR spirit forward.  Within just two years, their independent efforts have kept activities alive and growing, demonstrating the power of youth-led, service-driven change.

Global Connection Through Education

The relationship between Nancy Campbell Academy and the Grenadian youth continues to deepen.
In recognition of their dedication and service, several local youth have joined NCA Online, working toward their Ontario Secondary School Diplomas while continuing their community service at home.

This partnership bridges borders and hearts—uniting students in a shared pursuit of education, empowerment, and service to humanity.

Join the SOAR Movement

The SOAR Project continues to expand, and we invite youth from all communities to be part of it.
Whether you are a Nancy Campbell student or a young person eager to serve, you can join a SOAR project to make a meaningful difference—locally or abroad.

Through service, study, and reflection, you’ll grow as a leader and help build stronger, more unified communities.

Together, we learn. Together, we serve. Together, we SOAR.
